Going to see a therapist and coach can be a daunting experience. You want to know you are in safe and experienced hands, so let me introduce myself to you. My name is Tricia Woolfrey MNLP, DHP, FCIPD, DHNP, Dip.AIT. and I am the developer of Your Empowered Self. The letters after my name are not to brag but to show you that I have spent years making sure my skills are leading edge and up to date so that you get the very best help possible. When thinking about Your Empowered Self, I wanted to make sure that I invest heavily in my training so that you benefit from my skills so that you can discover or reconnect with your empowered self. My passion is helping people like you achieve positive change, whether in terms of improving your career, enjoying stronger relationships, better self-esteem, less stress, good health or weight loss.
Don't take my word about Your Empowered Self, here is what one of my clients said about working with me: "Tricia Woolfrey has been a trusted advisor and absolute rock over the years. She is the one I have turned to when faced with the big challenges that life throws, both on a personal and a professional level. She operates with the perfect blend of empathy, insight and pragmatism, gets under the skin of complex issues extremely quickly, and offers very specific advice that is always highly effective and leads to outstanding results."
My Philosophy and Style
I balance the practical with a mind-body-spirit approach to help empower people just like you. Following a thorough initial session I develop a highly tailored, yet flexible approach to uncover patterns and contributory factors to help you overcome blocks to achieving our goals and living the life you want for yourself.
My style is friendly, practical and down to earth. I am also empathic and straight talking with a good sense of humour - a combination my clients enjoy.
You are in Safe Hands - My Credentials
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, I started my working life in Human Resources where I held senior posts (latterly as a Global HR Director). I loved working with people to create positive change but didn't enjoy the office politics. Being a hypnotherapist, nutritionist and coach enables me to enjoy all the good things about my old role but none of the bad. I have been a hypnotherapist since the late '90s. I became a nutritionist in 2008 because I realised that there is a component to people's stress levels and mood that needed an integrative approach. I also believe that the mind affects the body just as much as the body affects the mind.
While I still undertake HR projects such as corporate coaching, leadership training, change management, emotional intelligence, team building etc. much of my work is as a hypnotherapist, coach and wellness practitioner. I am pleased to be able to offer my business clients stress and wellness coaching now too. Because of my background, a lot of my clients come from the corporate world but I am happy working with all kinds of people from all walks of life with a variety of problems they want to overcome. This could be a stay-at-home mum, a budding actor, a struggling couple, or a stressed manager.
I am a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, an advanced clinical hypnotherapist, and a member and supervisor of the General Hypnotherapy Register. I am also a member of The British Society of Integrative Medicine and a Master Practitioner of Eating Disorders. I have additionally had specialist training in addictions and I treat a lot of people with anger issues
You can be assured that I have many years of experience in coaching and training individuals in the corporate world and in private practice to help you be Your Empowered Self.
As well as being a Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine, I am a registered NHS provider, Code 8GC39 and PruHealth, Medisure and BUPA registered.
I have appeared numerous times as a speaker on BBC radio, Eagle radio and have featured in local, national and international press including The Guardian, Slim at Home, The Surrey Times, Natural Health, Nursing in Practice, Women's Fitness, The Sunday Express, The Daily Express, Top Sante, Premier Magazine, Darling Magazine, Zest Magazine, Wellbeing Magazine, Red Magazine, She Magazine, The Recycler and Business Voice.
I am also the author of several books and hypnotherapy CDs and MP3s. Again, if you put in Tricia Woolfrey into Amazon, it will help you see some of these.
My client list includes people, just like you, from all walks of life with all kinds of issues they want help with. They include but are not limited to managing directors, carpenters, actors and performers, stay-at-home mums, working mums, engineers, sportsmen, children and judges.
"When I went to see Tricia I was at a critical point on my life, and I needed to make a life-changing decision. I really did not know what to do. The insights I gained through hypnotherapy gave me the clarity and confidence to make the right decision. This led to my life panning out in a completely different way, it allayed my fears and I managed to turn my thoughts and my life around for the better." DM, Weybridge
